Our North Star

TKP’s Vision

Our Vision

A rural Kenya where children realize their full potential—excelling in the classroom, leading with confidence, and creating their own opportunities.

Our Model

How We Work

We build a sustainable ecosystem for transformation. Our model is built on four pillars that ensure every investment leads to permanent change in rural Kenya.

Our Difference

Scaling Deep in Rural Kenya

Kenyan led +
Community Owned

Decisions are driven by Kenyan educators, staff, and community leaders who understand local priorities, tradition, and challenges. Their ownership helps ensure schools remain culturally grounded, responsive, and trusted while fostering accountability and long-term sustainability.

Place-Based Commitment

Rather than expanding broadly, TKP grows deeper within rural Kilgoris, making long-term investments alongside the children and communities it serves. Campuses expand one classroom at a time, growing year by year as students advance through school and new learners enter behind them.

Accessible Private Education

TKP operates a low-cost education model that keeps high-quality learning accessible for rural families. Philanthropy bridges the gap, while modest family contributions foster shared investment in each child’s future.

Whole-Child Development

TKP combines education with nutrition, healthcare, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Gender Equity, and Enrichment Programs to build rising futures. Supporting the whole child creates the strongest conditions for learning, resilience, and long-term opportunity.

Daily Impact

Designed to Remove Barriers

TKP’s Vision

Our programs are designed to remove the barriers standing between a child in Kilgoris and their future. When we invest in seven areas below to build and support a foundation for early childhood education.

Program Components

8 Areas That Bring Our Model to Life

Academic Excellence:
Early Childhood through Junior Secondary

From age three through junior secondary school, students build the literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and STEM skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Total Child Wellness:
Healthcare + WASH

Annual health screenings, primary care, vaccinations, clean water, and improved sanitation help students stay healthy, supported, and ready to learn.

Nutrition:
The foundation for learning

Reliable access to twice-daily meals supports student health, concentration, and long-term learning outcomes.

Enrichment Programming: Growing the Whole Child

Sports, clubs, arts, and enrichment activities broaden students’ experiences while fostering teamwork, creativity, and connection.

Empowering Educators

Investments ongoing teacher development to strengthen classroom instruction, ensuring students receive engaging, high-quality learning experiences at every level.

Gender Equity: Protecting the Future of Girls

Girls’ empowerment programs, mentorship, and access to menstrual health resources help remove barriers to education while expanding opportunity for girls.

Rooted in Community Partnership

Families, governing boards, local employment, and shared investment keep TKP’s schools deeply connected to the communities they serve.
